What is Paint ?

Coating applied to colour any object or to protect the surface is called paint. Paint makes the surface to which it is applied look better and forms a protective coat. It can be used for nearly all surfaces.

Paint consisting of adhesives, solvents, pigments and other additives was first used by primitive man to make drawings on the walls of caves. It is known that surviving paintings on mud and rocks in the caves of Africa and Europe from 30,000-10,000 BC contain animal oil, bone ash and soot. Today, paint is also used to protect furniture and construction materials against physical and chemical effects and it is also an indispensable part of architecture and interior decoration.
