In TS 825, provinces and some districts are classified as 4 different degree-day zones depending on the climate conditions in their geographic regions. For each degree-day zone, acceptable values such as monthly temperature averages and sun energy radiant intensity used in calculations are stated. In TS 825, annual heating energy quantity is calculated according to the total of building surfaces losing heat (Atot), heated gross volume (V gross) and degree-day zone of the building. Degree-day zones and heat transmission coefficients (U) for these zones stated in TS 825 are as follows.
